Oates House: Dorset
A replacement dwelling located on the historic castle slopes of Shaftesbury with far reaching views over the Blackmoor Vale.
The brief was to design a discrete, elegant and unassuming contemporary house that would integrate into the natural sloping topography.
The lower ground floor is built into the landscape and remains largely hidden from view. The upper ground floor maximises light and space optimising views to the landscape beyond.
